Role purpose Lead and oversee warehouse, inventory, and logistics operations to ensure efficient storage, handling and distribution of goods, Drive process optimization, cost control, and compliance with safety and quality standards, while managing teams and vendors to support business objectives and deliver high service levels.
Key Accountabilities & Activities Generic Accountabilities Strategy Execution Implement departmental plans and ensure alignment with defined business objectives. Translate functional goals into team-level operational plans and coordinate their execution. Monitor and track execution progress and report on performance against targets.

Budget and Financial Monitoring Support and manage budget preparation and implement cost control within the team. Track expenditures and report variances in line with approved budgets. Common Accountabilities Manage day-to-day operations and ensure delivery of targets in line with plans.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and operational standards. People Management Manage and supervise team members, setting clear objectives and expectations. Monitor and track team performance, providing regular feedback to ensure delivery.
Support and coordinate employee development and training initiatives. Coordination Coordinate team activities to ensure smooth execution of operational plans. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and support delivery.
Job-Specific Accountabilities Strategic Planning & Operations Management Develop and implement warehouse and logistics strategies aligned with business objectives. Oversee daily warehouse, distribution, and transportation operations to ensure efficiency. Set and monitor KPI's to track performance and drive operational improvements.
Inventory & Stock Control Establish and maintain inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and availability. Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and coordinate stock replenishment. Implement measures to minimize stock variances, damages, and losses.
Logistics & Transportation Management Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers and freight forwarders. Optimize transportation routes, modes, and schedules to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Warehouse Process Optimization Design and implement warehouse layouts, storage systems, and material handling processes. Introduce automation and technology solutions to enhance productivity. Ensure compliance with warehouse safety, security, and regulatory standards.
Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics teams to maximize performance. Oversee training, and performance evaluations of staff Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Prepare regular operational, financial, and performance reports for senior management.
